The UK’s first FODMAP-friendly restaurant

For some time I have been lobbying restaurants and cafes in my own city of Cardiff to take the plunge and offer FODMAP-friendly options for IBS sufferers. I’ve been trying to demonstrate that it takes only a minimal change to a menu or better signage to enable them to advertise some FODMAP-friendly options. One restaurant in Scotland though has beaten them to it and now offers and entirely FODMAP-friendly menu. Hooray! The needs of IBS sufferers are now being taken seriously (at least in Scotland), but it’s a start. Come on ‘Catering Industry’ get your act together and begin to cater for the 15-20% of the population who suffer from IBS. Get a taster from the article below. If any catering outlets in South Wales would like any advice on how to make their menu more FODMAP-friendly, contact me, I’d be happy to help.
