Debra was friendly, helpful and encouraging. I have benefited immeasurably from her support, knowledge and encouragement. After 20 odd years of trying different kinds of diets & medications to no avail I finally feel that I am on the road to a better healthier gut and lifestyle. I saw improvements within the first Two weeks and now a month after my first consultation and after following a low FODMAP exclusion diet I feel I am ready to start the next part of the journey as I reintroduce foods. All this with full support from Debra. The literature and consultations are so helpful and I never feel alone on my FODMAP journey. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Overall, a very good experience working with the FODMAP experts. Two very clear and thoroughly helpful consultations with regular communication in between, meant that this experience was very productive and I felt thoroughly supported throughout it. I would highly recommend working with this team if you have any IBD challenges in your life. It is definitely money well spent.

Debra is very friendly, supportive and professional. We had an initial phonecall to discuss the plan and the first zoom session to plan the elimination stage of the diet. She was encouraging and provided a lot of helpful resources and tips on how to succeed and stay positive through a challenging elimination stage!

I have read so much about FODMAP on Dr Google that I started to drown in too much information. Debra presented the concept and the details in a simple, clear and easy-to-follow manner that makes it so much easier to follow. Thanks Debra, I look forward to working with you.

I have gone through the intial fodmap restriction phase with Debra's amazing support. She provided me with lots of advice and food recommendations. She was always quick to reply to messages. The initial phase was easier than expected and I've had a massive improvement in my symptoms.

Debra is kind and helpful, she has given me all the guidance I need to approach the first phase of the low fodmap diet. She tailors her advice to your normal diet to suggest substitutions and low fodmap alternatives and is happy to answer any questions you might have. I strongly recommend contacting her if you are feeling overwhelmed about starting the diet. I am looking forward to seeing how I get on with her expert guidance.

It was such a relief to speak to Debra - I was feeling very unwell, needed to so something about it but was daunted by the low FODMAP approach. Debra put me at my ease and took me through the whole process. She’s friendly and open and always ready to help. I would recommend her as a dietitian.

What does FODMAP stand for?

FODMAP is an acronym for Fermentable Oligo-saccharides, Di-saccharides, Mono-saccharides And Polyols. This is why we call them FODMAPs!  These are naturally occurring in many every day foods and can trigger IBS symptoms.

Following a low FODMAP diet is shown by research to improve IBS symptoms. The diet involves restriction of likely trigger foods, followed by a process of reintroduction. It’s tricky to do alone though, so it’s best to get expert advice and support from an IBS Dietitian before cutting out major food groups.
